Our son Roc has been playing football for years. Like many barefoot families, we've lived with that uncomfortable contradiction: watching healthy, free, well-cared-for feet end up inside conventional football boots that are narrow, stiff and hot… exactly the opposite of what we've always wanted to give them.
But they do it with such enthusiasm that it's hard to say no, because those boots stand for their passion, their team, their goals and their dreams ⚽. And that's where the conflict arises: how do we look after their feet without holding back their wish to play?
🔬 It was during a conversation about healthy children's football footwear with our dear friend and paediatric podiatrist Roberto Pascual that everything began to take shape. He helped us see that we weren't alone: many families face the same situation. From that exchange came Amunt, a project that took months of prototypes, testing, adjustments and clinical validation to become a reality.

Our podiatry Jedi, Roberto Pascual, is a clinical podiatrist specialising in children, with more than 25 years of experience carrying out school foot screenings. His studies have been key to defining the purpose of Amunt.
"A real solution was needed for thousands of families facing a daily paradox: children who wear barefoot shoes in everyday life, but have to put on narrow, stiff, poorly breathable boots to play football."
Between 2005 and 2024, Roberto documented a systematic presence of unsuitable sports footwear worn as everyday shoes at school:
- In 2005, 79% of boys (38% of all pupils) went to school in football boots, even multi-stud models for artificial grass in playgrounds that didn't have any.
- In 2024, although the figure fell to 54%, it's still an alarming phenomenon.
"No adult would walk down the street in football boots the way children do, so why do we treat it as normal in childhood?"
