SanRoc sandals are one of our most authentic creations 😎. Designed from scratch, almost like a feat of engineering 🏗️, and improved season after season, today they're a summer essential 🌴 for many Feroz mums. Starting from the same structure, we've developed closed-toe versions for extra protection, and more open models, perfect for the hottest days.

As they're a different kind of footwear from closed shoes, and the models differ from one another, you may have questions about how they fit and which size to choose. In this post we explain how SanRoc sandals fit and how to get the size right for each model. Let's get started!

🧐 SanRoc sandals fit a little differently
SanRoc sandals have one particular feature: their usable inner length is between 3 and 4 millimetres shorter than that of our closed shoe models. In other words, even if the size is the same, the fit may feel snugger or roomier depending on the model.
But don't worry, this doesn't mean they come up small or that you should automatically change size. As your little one's feet grow at lightning speed ⚡, we recommend measuring their feet before the new sandals arrive, using our SanRoc size guide.

If the sandal is open…

With the open-toe models (such as Oliva, Gandía and Saler) you can use much more of the inner space, because the foot can take up the whole usable area, as there's nothing stopping it at the front. What's more, all SanRoc sandals have a 5 mm rubber bumper that protects little toes from knocks and rubbing.
💡 Bottom line: if your little one is in the middle or at the end of their size in closed shoes, you can choose the same size in the open SanRoc models.
If the sandal is closed…

With the closed-toe models (such as Calpe and Denia), on the other hand, it's very important to keep the safety margin you need in closed footwear: at least 4 mm between the toes and the tip.
💡 Bottom line: if they're at the start of their size in closed shoes, they can wear the same size in closed SanRoc sandals. But if they're in the middle or at the end of their size, it's best to go up a size to make sure there's enough room.
A practical example: Manolito 🧒

🔹 Open model (Oliva, Gandía, Saler)? 👉 He can wear size 24, as his foot can take up the whole usable space.
🔹 Closed model (Calpe, Denia)? 👉 He needs a size 25, to keep the minimum 4 mm margin.
In short:
| Type of sandal | Models | How do they fit? | Which size to choose? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open | Oliva, Gandía, Saler | The foot can take up the whole usable insole. | If your little one is between the middle and the end of their size → same size as in closed shoes. |
| Closed | Calpe, Denia | Leave at least 4 mm between the toes and the toe cap. | At the start of their size → same size. In the middle or at the end → go up a size. |
