Discover our collection of barefoot footwear for children, designed to accompany every stage of play, learning, and movement. At Feroz, you'll find sneakers, sandals, and boots that are respectful of natural foot development, with a wide toe box, flexible sole, and zero drop.
All our barefoot shoes for boys and girlsare designed to give toes space and allow the foot to move freely, from school and the park to outdoor adventures.
Barefoot footwear for children is designed to mimic the feeling of walking barefoot while protecting the feet. Its three essential features are a wide toe box (which respects the natural shape of the foot and gives the toes plenty of room), a thin, flexible sole (which allows children to feel the ground and flex their feet freely) and zero drop (no heel elevation, for a more natural gait).
Unlike conventional footwear, which often has a narrow toe box and raised heel, barefoot footwear for children supports natural foot growth without forcing the foot into an unnatural shape. Children's feet continue developing until approximately the age of 18, so the footwear they wear during this period can have a real impact on their posture and mobility.
Foot-shaped design: plenty of room for the toes to spread naturally. Read our article about foot-shaped shoes to understand the difference.
Thin, flexible sole: bends easily and allows the foot to receive sensory feedback from the ground, supporting balance and proprioception.
Zero drop: heel and toes are at the same height, promoting a more naturally aligned posture from an early age.
Breathable materials: technical microfibre helps keep feet dry and fresh throughout the day. Learn more about Feroz microfibre.
Lightweight: our children's models don't add unnecessary weight to the feet, making movement easier during play and school activities.
Choosing the right size is just as important as choosing the right model. Barefoot footwear should leave between 1 and 1.5 cm of space in front of the longest toe, allowing the foot to move freely without the shoe being too loose.
Follow these steps to measure the foot correctly:
Measure the foot at the end of the day, when it is slightly more swollen.
Have your child stand on a piece of paper and mark the heel and the longest toe.
Measure the distance in millimetres and check our children's footwear size guide.
If your child is between two sizes, choose the larger size.
If you have any questions, our team is here to help you find the right model and size.

Children's barefoot footwear is designed to respect the natural shape of the foot. It features a wide toe box, a thin and flexible sole, zero drop and a fit that doesn't restrict toe movement. The aim is to allow the foot to function in a similar way to being barefoot, with the added protection of a shoe.
All our children's barefoot footwear is unisex. Our models are available in a wide variety of colours and designs, so every child can find the one they like best, regardless of whether they're a girl or a boy.
Feroz children's barefoot footwear is available in sizes 24 to 35.
Take the removable insole out of the shoe and place it on the floor. Place your child's foot on top of it. There should be around 10 mm of space in front of the longest toe, and the foot should not extend beyond the sides of the insole. If the fit is too snug or tight, go up a size. Check the Feroz size guide to convert the measurement in centimetres into the corresponding shoe size.
Rocker models are made from highly resistant technical microfibre, designed to withstand intensive everyday use. Durability depends on how the shoes are used, but the materials are selected to help reduce the frequency of replacement and encourage more responsible consumption.
Barefoot footwear fits well when your child can move their toes freely inside the shoe, the sole bends easily without resistance and there are no pressure points on the foot. If you notice red marks on their skin after taking the shoes off, this may be a sign that the model isn't the right fit for their foot.
