Roberto answers
Scientific evidence is constantly evolving, and with it, so are clinical questions and the need to review our practice.
That is why this space was created: a direct channel with Roberto Pascual where, each month, you can ask questions, share cases, and discuss the most current evidence to build a more solid and well-founded clinical judgment together with the community.
We want this community to be lively, participatory, critical, and demanding. A place where the exchange of ideas helps us grow as professionals, refine our clinical reasoning, and make more solid and well-founded decisions.

Frequently asked questions
Why is a Feroz shoe a barefoot or respectful shoe?
At Feroz, we don't just make pretty shoes; we apply biomechanics to children's feet. Our footwear has a straight last and a wide toe box so that the toes (the metatarsal area) can spread out freely when stepping. The soles are thin, flexible in all directions, and have zero drop to avoid altering the child's center of gravity. In short: maximum barefoot sensation for natural development, but with protection.
Is it a suitable shoe for use with insoles or medical requirements such as AFOs?
Of course! All our shoes are neutral-based and without rigid elements, but we have developed a separate technical heel counter (a removable accessory). This accessory can be inserted into the shoe to provide that extra support in the heel (rearfoot) only for children who really need it. In addition, our standard insoles are removable and the shoe has a super wide opening with Velcro, which makes them very easy to put on, even with custom insoles or AFO splints.
Is there a cost to join the community and receive physical samples?
None. Belonging to the Fierce Experts family, receiving our technical Newsletters, and having access to the Fierce Archive is 100% free. As for physical footwear samples to have in your clinic, we also send them free of charge! However, as we are a small brand and want these tools to reach where they are truly most needed, the shipment of physical material is subject to our team's assessment, depending on your clinical profile and the availability of samples.
How does the patient discount code work? Are there any commissions?
At Feroz, we believe in 100% ethical recommendations. We don't work with affiliate systems or offer sales commissions. We want families to know that when a professional recommends our shoes, they do so out of pure medical conviction and for the health of their little one. What we will give you is a 10% discount code for your patients to use on their first purchase. All the benefits go to the families!
What requirements must I meet to appear on the website's expert map?
Our dream is for every family to find a trusted professional close to home. To appear on our map, we only ask for two things: to be a registered health professional (Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Pediatrics, etc.) with a physical practice, and to share our philosophy on free motor development and barefoot-friendly footwear.
What sizes do you make, and what is the difference between Feroz, Rocker, and Freeker soles?
We support the growth of the foot at each stage with specific soles:
- Feroz Sole (First steps, sizes 18 to 23): Extra soft and very thin. Ideal for learning to walk. Protects the foot without taking away any sensitivity to the ground.
- Rocker Sole (Established walkers, sizes 24 to 35): For little ones who are already running and jumping non-stop. The sole is slightly thicker to withstand daily wear and tear, but remains completely flexible.
- Freeker Sole (Older children/adults, sizes 36 to 45): Designed for adult daily wear. Maintains the philosophy of barefoot freedom. We support the growth of the foot at each stage with specific soles:
